A Living Legacy: 125 Years of Art & Craft in the Ardens

In celebration of the 125th anniversary of Arden’s founding, the Arden Artisans Collective presents A Living Legacy, a two-part exhibition series that honors the vibrant, ongoing tradition of creativity in the Ardens. Featuring the work of past and present artists from this unique Arts and Crafts community, the exhibitions span generations and mediums—offering visitors a rare opportunity to experience the unbroken thread of artistry that has defined the Ardens for over a century.

Celebrate Arden’s enduring artistic spirit through a vibrant display of two-dimensional works. This exhibition features paintings, drawings, photography, and printmaking by both contemporary artists and those from Arden’s past. Hung in the same space, these pieces create a visual dialogue across generations, highlighting a legacy of storytelling, self-expression, and artistic excellence that has thrived in the Ardens for 125 years.

This event is part of Wilmington’s October Art Loop.

Explore the tactile traditions of Arden’s maker community in this dynamic showcase of three-dimensional art. The exhibition includes sculpture, ceramics, fiber arts, handcrafted lamps, and more—highlighting both historic pieces and new work from today’s artisans. Archival photographs and objects connect the past to the present, demonstrating how craft continues to shape everyday life in the Ardens.

This event is part of Wilmington’s November Art Loop.
